Project Proposal On
"Device and Method for Detection and Prediction of Anemia and Malnutrition"

Summary of the Project
A healthy diet is one of the most important components of good health. Malnutrition is a huge problem, particularly in the area of child survival, as 3.5 million under-fives die each year due to it. In all its forms, malnutrition involves undernourishment, vitamins, minerals, overweight and obesity and the resultant non-compatible dietary diseases. Anemia is the major cause of malnutrition among people more specifically vulnerable age group people.
Novelty
The proposed prediction model for anemia and malnutrition test is applying advanced hybrid AI techniques that uses machine learning and deep learning together over the clinical dataset as well as live subject under testing. The proposed device is capable to detect and predict the deficiencies, also the machine learning algorithms are applied over the existing clinical datasets for classification as per labels such as anemic or non-anemic. It further utilizes deep learning framework to automatically extract features of a newly tested object in order to determine the
malnutrition including vitamin deficiencies such as Vit A, Vit D and Vit B12 and mineral deficiencies.

ON GOING PROJECT (SPPU, PUNE)

Performance Optimization of Digital Hearing Aid on FPGA using speech signal processing techniques for hearing impaired.
The performance of Hearing aid on FPGA can focus on various parameters such as Power Consumption, Power dissipation, Battery life, Hardware Complexity, Area consumed, Number of multiplier and adder, Delay introduced. The hearing losses can be addressed in Hearing Aids by focusing on Optimization Algorithm used for temporal and/or spectral resolution, word length of filter and frequency response of filters, matching error between audiogram and frequency response .
